About Bishop David Oyedepo
David Olaniyi Oyedepo (born September 27, 1954) is a Nigerian preacher and founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners' Chapel International). He is also the Chancellor of Covenant University and Landmark University. Born in Osogbo, Nigeria, Oyedepo was raised by his grandmother who introduced him to Christianity.
He studied architecture at Kwara State Polytechnic and holds a PhD in Human Development from Honolulu University. Oyedepo began his ministry in 1981 after a divine vision and was ordained as a bishop in 1988. His church has grown to over 300 cities worldwide.
He established Covenant University and other educational institutions. In 1998, he built Canaanland, a large facility in Ota, Ogun state, which includes a 50,000-seat auditorium. The ministry's annual Shiloh event attracts global attendees, and a new 100,000-seater auditorium, "The Ark," is under construction.

He is a prolific author with over 70 books and oversees a large network of educational and business ventures. He is married to Faith Oyedepo, and they have four children who are also active in the ministry.
David Oyedepo became "born again" in 1969 and founded the Living Faith Church World Wide in 1981. Ordained as a pastor in 1983 and later as a Bishop, he moved the church to Lagos in 1989. Oyedepo is the wealthiest preacher globally, with a net worth over $150 million, owning multiple private jets and international properties.
